Seikado Bunko Art Museum
The Seikado Bunko Art Museum, located in the Meiji Seimeikan building in Marunouchi, houses a collection of around 6,500 pieces of ancient East Asian art, including 7 Japanese National Treasures. Among its holdings the 'Yohen Tenmoku' (Inaba Tenmoku) bowl stands out, a Southern Song dynasty piece of which only three complete examples survive in the world. The museum stages temporary exhibitions, such as the one devoted to the potter Kawai Kanjiro with 51 of his works, and offers complementary events such as curator talks, workshops and guided tours. Visitors can explore the permanent collection and the temporary shows in a space that combines historical and cultural art.
