The George Inn
Food & drinkVisit: ~60 min
Inn with wooden galleries in Southwark, beside the old route out of London to the south. It is the only surviving inn of this kind in the city and belongs to the National Trust. The present building dates from the late 17th century, after a fire, and Dickens mentions it in Little Dorrit. It served as a coaching stop and today is a pub with a courtyard.
