Klangberg
At the Klangberg in Leipzig, visitors can walk over sounding stone slabs at the top of the mound, which emit fleeting sounds in memory of the demolition of the St Pauli university church in 1968. The site works as an interactive monument, where walking across it you hear voices, urban sounds and historical testimonies evoking the site's history. At the foot of the Klangberg there is a park with a children's play area, climbing elements, a ramp, table-tennis tables and a basketball court, offering space for recreational activities and outdoor play. From the top of the Klangberg you can enjoy views towards the nearby Völkerschlachtdenkmal, and information panels explain the site's historical background.
