A former industrial district of brick warehouses beside the East River, it is now famous for the view along Washington Street: the Manhattan Bridge framed between two buildings. Very close by are Brooklyn Bridge Park and the Brooklyn Bridge, with the Lower Manhattan skyline opposite.
