The Berghoff
Food & drinkVisit: ~75 min
The Berghoff opened in 1898 as a German beer and food venue in Chicago's Loop. It was the first establishment in the city to obtain a liquor licence after the end of Prohibition, in 1933. It is known for its German-American cooking, with dishes such as Wiener schnitzel and sauerbraten, and for its own beer. It keeps a classic-style dark wood dining room.
