Vesuvio Cafe

A bar in North Beach open since the 1940s, linked to the Beat generation: writers such as Jack Kerouac used to be seen here. It occupies a corner next to City Lights Bookstore, separated from it by Jack Kerouac Alley, and is recognisable by its colourful façade and murals. It has two floors with large windows and the décor of a bohemian bar.
