Place de Furstemberg
CultureVisit: ~15 min
Tree-lined little square of 82 m in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, between rue Jacob and rue de l'Abbaye, where the abbey's courtyard and stables stood. It is named after Cardinal von Fürstenberg, abbot from 1697. Eugène Delacroix lived and worked at number 6 until 1863; it is now the Musée national Eugène-Delacroix. It is a romantic, much-photographed corner, with its lamp posts and the shade of its paulownia trees.
