The Ivy
Food & drinkVisit: ~75 min
It opened in 1917 as Abel Giandolini's Italian café on West Street, in the theatre district, and was extended in 1929. Its proximity to the West End theatres and its late closing made it a theatrical institution, with customers such as Laurence Olivier, Vivien Leigh and Noël Coward. Richard Caring has owned it since 2005.
