Moynihan Train Hall
Moynihan Train Hall occupies part of the James A. Farley Building, a Beaux-Arts structure on the block bounded by Eighth Avenue, Ninth Avenue, 31st Street and 33rd Street, opposite the current Penn Station. The passenger concourse sits beneath a 28-metre-high glass skylight, with a four-faced clock at its centre. The hall houses facilities for Amtrak passengers, such as ticket and baggage services, a waiting room, meeting rooms and a balcony overlooking the concourse, as well as shops. Permanent artworks include Kehinde Wiley's stained-glass triptych Go on the ceiling, Stan Douglas's photographic panels Penn Station's Half Century, and Elmgreen & Dragset's sculptural group The Hive at the 31st Street entrance.
