Moulin Rouge

The Moulin Rouge is a cabaret on Boulevard de Clichy, at the foot of the Montmartre hill, with a red windmill on its roof as a recognisable symbol of Paris. Every night it stages the revue 'Féerie', made up of four tableaux with a troupe of 80 performers, costumes of feathers, rhinestones and sequins, and variety acts. The French Cancan, of which the Moulin Rouge is considered the birthplace of its modern form, is part of the show.
