Hôtel Brion

CultureVisit: ~30 minFree

The Hôtel Brion, also known as Villa Brion, is an Art Nouveau hôtel particulier located on rue Sleidan, in the Neustadt district of Strasbourg. Built in 1904 by the architect Auguste Brion for his own use, it stands out for its ashlar façade, its street-side roof and its entrance door, all protected as a historic monument since 1975. The building combines a half-timbered structure with reinforced-concrete walls clad in stone, and was executed in a more exuberant style than most of Brion's other works. Between 1926 and 1972 it operated as a hotel under the name Hôtel Marguerite, and since 1980 it has been privately owned. It is one of the most representative examples of Art Nouveau architecture in the Neustadt of Strasbourg.
