Baroque church with a central plan and a white dome, in the Alfama district, converted into the National Pantheon. Its construction began in the 17th century and dragged on for centuries until it was finished in the 20th century. Inside are cenotaphs and tombs of figures from Portuguese history and culture, and a terrace at the base of the dome with views over Alfama and the river.
