Place Gutenberg
CultureVisit: ~15 minFree
Small square in the historic centre of Strasbourg named after Johannes Gutenberg, the inventor who lived in the city in the 1430s and 1440s. In its centre stands, since 1840, a bronze statue of Gutenberg by the sculptor David d'Angers, which is the main monumental attraction of the place. In addition, the square hosts the Fête des Imprimeurs every year, an event that showcases the trades related to book production and links the space with the city's printing tradition.
