Édouard Branly Museum
At the Édouard Branly Museum, visitors walk through the former research laboratory where Édouard Branly carried out pioneering experiments in wireless telegraphy and radio, preserving the original equipment he used, such as the Branly coherer, electrolytic detectors, tubes filled with metal filings and the Righi oscillator. The collection includes generators, electromagnets, metal blades mounted on glass, electrical connectors, and a column of six steel balls stacked in a glass cylinder, allowing visitors to closely examine instruments described in Branly's own publications. The visit also takes in his office and the so-called 'copper room', spaces that evoke Branly's working environment and show the historical context of his research into radiant heat, optics and electricity.
