Hie Shrine is a Shinto shrine in Nagatachō, Chiyoda, Tokyo. According to one theory its history dates back to 1478, and it was moved by Tokugawa Ieyasu to the grounds of Edo Castle; in 1659 it was rebuilt at its current site. The present building dates from 1958, after the Second World War. The shrine holds a tachi (sword) designated a National Treasure and 14 Important Cultural Properties, and is one of the most popular sites for Shichi-Go-San celebrations. Every 15 June the Sannō Matsuri, one of the three great festivals of Edo, is held here. The grounds have escalators for climbing the hill and a large row of torii gates similar to those at Fushimi Inari Taisha. It is near Tameike-Sannō, Kokkai-gijidō-mae and Akasaka-mitsuke stations.
