Oriel Chambers
CultureVisit: ~15 min
Office building from 1864 on Water Street, the work of architect Peter Ellis. Its façade, with large oriel windows separated by slender cast-iron mullions, anticipated the curtain-wall architecture of the 20th century and was heavily criticised in its day. It is Grade I listed and can be viewed from the street, in the heart of Liverpool's financial district.
