Las Ventas
Las Ventas is Spain's largest bullring and the third largest in the world by capacity, holding 23,798 spectators. Designed by José Espelius in Neo-Mudéjar style, it opened in 1931 and was declared a Site of Cultural Interest in 1994. Visitors can tour the inside of the ring, the stands, the Royal Box and the Bullfighting Museum, which houses a collection of objects related to bullfighting. The visit includes an audio guide in ten languages and lasts around two hours. During the bullfighting season (March to October), events are held, with the Feria de San Isidro in May standing out. The building also houses three cultural halls and a library with more than 2,000 volumes. Outside there are statues dedicated to bullfighting figures.
