The Episcopal Palace of Málaga is an 18th-century Baroque building on Plaza del Obispo, next to the Cathedral. It was built from 1762 under the patronage of Archbishop José Francisco Lasso de Castilla, to designs by architect Antonio Ramos. Its three-storey main façade stands out, articulated by pilasters, with a magnificent altarpiece-style doorway combining grey and pink marble, and a niche holding an image of the Virgen de las Angustias by Fernando Ortiz. Inside, arranged around two courtyards, is a double-flight imperial staircase. The building houses the Ars Málaga art space, which displays diocesan holdings, including sacred art from the 15th to 18th centuries and an exhibition of African art spread across five rooms. It is a listed Site of Cultural Interest.
