A former cinema, Loew's 175th Street Theatre, opened in 1930 in Washington Heights, at Broadway and 175th Street. It was one of the five great Loew's Wonder Theatres in the New York area. Today it is a performance venue and home to a spiritual community. Its exterior and auditorium stand out for their abundant, Eastern-inspired ornamentation.
