Marian shrine on Tepeyac hill, north of the city, one of the most visited Catholic pilgrimage sites in the world. It holds the image of the Virgin of Guadalupe on Juan Diego's tilma. The complex includes the old basilica, the new one from 1976, several chapels and gardens on the hill. Every 12 December millions of pilgrims come.
