Sebitseom
Complex of floating artificial islands on the Han River, next to Banpo Bridge, in Seocho district. Construction finished in April 2011 and the outdoor viewing areas opened on 21 May 2011; Gavit opened in May 2014, Chavit in July 2014 and the complex officially opened to the public in November 2014. The idea was proposed by a Seoul citizen, Kim Eun-sung, in 2006. It consists of three main islands. Gavit, the first, houses restaurants, a rooftop bar, a marina and an event hall; Chavit, the second, has a buffet-style restaurant and a beer space; Solvit, the third, is oriented towards water leisure. Yevit works as a media art gallery. At night the islands are lit up with an LED light show. You can walk there from Express Bus Terminal station along a public walkway.
