Slavín is a monumental tomb located in Vyšehrad Cemetery in Prague, built as a resting place for prominent Czech figures and designed by the architect Antonín Wiehl. Visitors can see sculptures by Josef Mauder, including a winged figure representing the Genius of the Homeland above the central sarcophagus, as well as side statues of the Weeping Motherland and the Victorious Motherland. The monument bears plaques with the names of those buried there and verses by the poet Julius Zeyer, the first person interred here, which highlight the site's national significance.
