Saint-Denys-of-the-Sacrament Church
On entering the church of Saint-Denys-du-Saint-Sacrement, visitors find neoclassical architecture with a façade of six Ionic columns and a triangular pediment decorated with figures representing the theological virtues. Inside, the nave is divided by classical columns and the vaulted ceiling shows decorative panels in gold and ivory tones, while the dome over the choir displays a painting by Abel de Pujol titled 'The Eternal Father, Christ and the Virgin'. The Chapel of Sainte-Geneviève, to the left of the entrance, houses the church's most famous work: Eugène Delacroix's 'Pietà', depicting the Virgin Mary holding the body of Christ.
