The Jaume I Tower is a 107-metre steel tower built in 1931 to a design by Carles Buïgas. It is part of the Barcelona Aerial Tramway and acts as the intermediate tower between the Sant Sebastià Tower, in Barceloneta, and the Montjuïc station. Its light lattice structure and pyramidal shaft make it a visible feature of the port front, and the cable car ride offers views over the city and the port. It is protected as a Cultural Asset of Local Interest.
