Church of San Ildefonso
Large Baroque church in the historic centre of Toledo, also known as the Jesuit church. Inside, with a white nave and a Latin-cross plan, the tall dome over the crossing stands out, along with two large Baroque altarpieces in the transept. Eight smaller chapels decorated in Baroque and Rococo styles line both sides of the nave, and in one corner is the octagonal chapel that houses the relics. Behind the high altar is an altarpiece painted in fresco with trompe-l'œil showing the descent of the Virgin upon St Ildefonsus. The towers can be visited and offer views towards the cathedral and the Alcázar.
