Piquío Gardens
Public garden on the Piquío headland, between the First and Second Beaches of El Sardinero, laid out with paths, flowerbeds, stairways, ramps, platforms and pergolas that look out over the sea. Among the vegetation are rows of tamarisks, Canary palms and large trees such as an old eucalyptus and an elm. Highlights include the Bola del Mundo, a globe with its axis parallel to the Earth's that works as a spherical sundial, and the zodiac table, a circular stone table decorated with the twelve signs of the zodiac. The viewpoints and benches face the two beaches, and the space occasionally hosts cultural activities and small art events.
