Explanada Promenade
LeisureVisit: ~45 minFree
Pedestrian promenade beside Alicante's harbour, known for its marble floor with a wavy pattern made of millions of red, cream and black tesserae, inspired by the paving of Rossio Square in Lisbon. Along the way are rows of palm trees, terraces, craft stalls and the open-air La Concha auditorium, where concerts and cultural events are held. In summer the Alicante Crafts Fair takes place. The promenade passes Casa Carbonell and connects with the Puerta del Mar and Canalejas Park, with views of the harbour and close to Santa Bárbara Castle.
