Alicante Water Museum
Free museum on Plaza del Puente, in Alicante's old town, devoted to the history and management of water in the city. It is spread over three floors: the ground floor looks at how the cultures that lived in Alicante managed water from the earliest settlements; the first floor is interactive and explains the states of water and the full cycle to people's homes, with a cinema room showing documentaries; the second presents Aguas de Alicante projects and sustainability initiatives. The visit includes the Pozos de Garrigós, built in the 19th century and restored, which supplied the city in times of drought.
