The Punta de la Cerda Beacon stands on the Magdalena peninsula in Santander and consists of a white tower at one end of a dwelling. The building has been converted and now houses the headquarters of the Aula del Mar, an educational project of the port authority together with the University of Cantabria and the Menéndez Pelayo International University. Next to it is the mooring of the Faro de la Cerda, now used for leisure boats.
