Church of San Millán
Next to Avenida del Acueducto, in the San Millán neighbourhood, this church combines an 11th-century Mudejar-style pre-Romanesque tower with a Romanesque body built between 1111 and 1126. Its plan, inspired by Jaca Cathedral, has three naves with four apses, three doorways and two porticoed galleries. Inside, the large columns and capitals include scenes such as the Magi on the way to Bethlehem and the Flight into Egypt, and the Romanesque high altar features a crucifix surrounded by ten blind arcades. Processional carvings donated by the Segovian sculptor Aniceto Marinas are also preserved. Visits are free and an audioguide is available, with tourist opening hours in summer and on Saturdays.
